I hope Cresswell is back for Saturday.

I'd definitely start Antonio & Pea upfront and Cresswell if fit.

Re: WHU team Vs Fulham?
Perez/Pea is too lightweight and one dimensional for me. We need to start Carroll or Antonio, if two upfront.

Perez may not be fit, anyway.

Re: WHU team Vs Fulham?
I think Ranieri will set up to not concede.
He needs to stop the rot and cancel out all the goals going in even if it means a nil nil at home.
I feel this is the perfect game to rest a couple of players and let a few others come in and stake a claim for a spot.
Most of the players will need a rest over the next month.
Zab and Noble especially are the older legs in need of sitting this game out, both can come back for the harder game against Watford.

Fabianski

Antonio
Diop
Valbuena
Cresswell

Rice
Obiang

Diangana
Anderson
Snodgrass

Hernandez

All 3 of Diangana,Snodgrass and Anderson to take it in turns being close to Hernandez . Working across the line against a expected back 5 of Fulham.

Carroll to come on for one of those four on the hour.

Subs.
Adrian,Carroll, Masasuka,Noble,Silva,Zab,Ogbonna

Wouldn’t make too many bones about Antonio in place of Carrol but there is no denying Carrol had a positive impact for us yesterday.

Core of the side remains the same though.

Re: WHU team Vs Fulham?
They are letting in goals like its going out of style and pretty much all of the goals I have seen them concede were down to pace and passing rather than power.

So I am of two minds,

Start with Antonio and Hernandez and then bring on Carroll again later, if needed.

That said, they do have pace if nothing else on the wings, so maybe rest Zabaleta again and put Antonio there. Maybe have Diangana as a kind of second striker if Perez is not ready.

Considering the pace and their defensive frailties, Masuaku again at left back. When we are looking to cross it more, use Cresswell.

As said by someone below, another rotation in midfield would not go amiss with Obiang coming in.

No need to rest them they have a week recovery, Ranieri first home game isnt it? This will arguably be the toughest game all month

Re: WHU team Vs Fulham?
For the first time in ages I'm relaxed enough to not be bothered about who the manager picks for this one. Since the City game, every player who has been on that pitch has done a good job, apart from maybe Carroll, who looks very rusty but still manages to preoccupy defenders. Despite all the injuries, we have a good squad that gives us options in every department. Happy days!

Re: WHU team Vs Fulham?
31 year old Snodders will need a blow at some point, although, happily, his penchant for a yellow card means he will get one quite soon, anyway.

Eddie, are you having a laugh !?!

Did you watch the game Saturday ?, Perez was rubbish and pretty much proves he can't play alongside Chich

I'd play 1 up and have 5 in midfield, with several breaking

I'd also rest Noble as the games are thick and fast now, bring in Wilshire if he's fit

Westham67 12:24 Mon Dec 10
Re: WHU team Vs Fulham?
Perez layed Chich on for the effort that the keeper blocked

I'd play him all day

1 half and its totally impossible they can play together the West Ham way

Leroy thats abit harsh on Perez, scored 2 in the week and thought he did ok on sat. Alot of work off the ball and some nice touches. I like him, and playing a second striker with the Pea brings the best out of Pea....he cant play as a lone striker we know that

I agree with the OP that Carroll isnt ready to start, he is a 20-25 min impact sub.....lets leave him to do just that. Wilshere is the new Carroll, plan without him and if he is fit its maybe a small bonus.

diehardhammer 12:37 Mon Dec 10
Re: WHU team Vs Fulham?
Since their defence is all over the place, I think the same tactics of perez starting then carroll on when their defence is tired is the way to go

if perez isnt 100% fit (that gash on his foot looked nasty but hopefully heal by saturday) then maybe start carroll or antonio up top

Re: WHU team Vs Fulham?
At 3-0 down against the Mancs, Ranieri subbed Mitrovic at half time to avoid him potentially getting a 5th yellow card for a suspension.

They're obviously prioritising our game as one they think they can win. It won't be as easy as the form book suggests, they're at home under a new manager in a game they are desperate to get a result in. They will be looking to come out of the traps quickly so I think it's important that were not as a sloppy in the first half as we have been in the last couple of games.

I think it could be quite a high scoring game as neither side is particularly great defensively. Hopefully our quality and confidence from recent results shows through.

Re: WHU team Vs Fulham?
Fulham managed to make the current ManU side look value for money.

Surely we must be looking for three points here... provided we don't lower our game to match theirs
